CNS Director Presents at UN Regional Workshop for East and Southeast Asia on Strengthening the Capacity of the Media

CNS Director William Potter participated in the United Nations Regional Workshop for East and Southeast Asia on Strengthening the Capacity of the Media in Advocating and Promoting Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific which took place January 20-21, 2011 in Beijing.

Dr. Potter gave two presentations entitled "Measures to Combat Nuclear Terrorism" and "The Power and Promise of Disarmament and Nonproliferation Education."

Other presenters in the conference included Ambassador Sergio Duarte, UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, Director General Cheng Jingye, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department of Arms Control and Disarmament, Ambassador Thomas Graham Jr. of Global Zero, and numerous other representatives from international organizations, NGOs and regional media.
