CNS Staff: Kenley Butler

Kenley Butler is executive officer and senior project manager at CNS. He creates and oversees the publication of material on nuclear, biological, and chemical weapon threats in the Middle East, former Soviet Union, South America, and Africa for the Nuclear Threat Initiative website (http://www.nti.org).

Kenley joined the CNS staff in July 2000 after spending two years as an International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service. He received a B.A. in Russian with a business minor from Brigham Young University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington, where he specialized in economics of the former Soviet Union. Kenley served with the first group of Peace Corps volunteers in Uzbekistan and conducted research on the privatization of Kazakhstan's telecommunications infrastructure at Almaty State University.
