The Asian Observer addressed recent developments, major changes, and regional cooperation in the export control field.

With the launch of a new publicationthe International Export Control Observer the Center for Nonproliferation Studies published the last issue of the Asian Observer in May 2005. The International Export Control Observer combined the Asian Export Control Observer and the NIS Export Control Observer, and is published monthly.

In November 2005, CNS and the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) began a partnership to offer the Asian Export Control Observer and the International Export Control Observer in Korean. The Korean versions will be posted on the CNS and KIET websites (http://www.kiet.re.kr) as they become available.
