Overview

The East Asia Nonproliferation Program (EANP), established in 1995, is dedicated to research and training on East Asian nonproliferation issues.

Mission

Supporting the CNS mission, the EANP team works with East Asian partners to strengthen local networks of nonproliferation experts and to link these experts to the broader community of international specialists.

EANP's mission involves four core activities:

• training programs for East Asian scholars and government officials,
• promoting dialogue on arms control and nonproliferation,
• policy-oriented research, consultations and outreach, and
• databases, the NTI Country/Region Profiles for Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, North Korea, Pakistan, South Korea, and Taiwan.
