Training

CNS Middle East Nonproliferation activities foster the development of a community of nonproliferation specialists in the Middle East. These include:

  • Middle East Next Generation Initiative
CNS Middle East Next Generation Initiative increases arms control, regional security, nonproliferation and disarmament capacity in the Middle East by training the next generation of Middle East experts and engaging them in unofficial "Track 2" dialogues focusing on these issues.
  • Visiting Fellows Program
In conjunction with the CNS Education Program, Middle Eastern experts and government officials are invited annually to conduct research in Monterey. These visiting fellows attend a special lecture series covering a variety of nonproliferation topics.
  • Teaching
CNS experts teach courses related to nonproliferation issues in the Middle East at MIIS and other universities across the United States.
