CNS Reports
This fifth and most recent edition of Nuclear Successor States of the Soviet Union: Status Report on Nuclear Weapons, Fissile Material and Export Controls was written jointly by the Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and by the Non-Proliferation Project at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
The report provides a wealth of information on the current status of nuclear weapons, weapons-usable nuclear material, export controls, and nonproliferation and disarmament assistance programs in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.
A printed version of this report was published in March 1998.
