Site of two 1,000MWe nuclear light-water reactors financed by the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization (KEDO) under the terms of the 1994 US-North Korean Agreed Framework.

Activities: Construction began in 1997 but has been delayed due to financial and political difficulties.
