<b>Summer Nonproliferation Internships</b><br />
<br />
The Summer Undergraduate Internship in Nonproliferation Studies at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS) is a paid internship. Interns will be compensated at the same rate as graduate research assistants (<b>$9.00/hour</b>) and will work with CNS staff members on substantive issues for one of the following Nonproliferation Programs:<br />

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;* East Asia<br />
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;* Chemical and Biological Weapons<br />
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;* International Organizations and Nonproliferation Program<br />
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;* Nonproliferation Education Program<br />
<br />
CNS's research interests also cover <b>Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Terrorism</b> and regional nonproliferation issues including the Middle East and South Asia. <br />

<br />
The Washington, DC, office of the Monterey Institute's James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS-DC) is offering four- to five-month internships for individuals seeking professional experience and on-the-job training with the country's largest organization dedicated exclusively to education and analysis on limiting the spread of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and advanced delivery systems.<br />
<br />
Interns will be working alongside experts on nonproliferation, arms control, and regional security affairs, while sharpening their knowledge of the field and improving their research and writing skills. The internship program also provides the opportunity to learn how non-governmental organizations impact national and international foreign policy-making. Expectations for interns are high and successful applicants will have the opportunity to publish independent research through CNS publications and other outlets. <br />

The James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) in cooperation with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and in support of the U.S. Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration's Next Generation Safeguards Initiative, is pleased to announce the availability of up to six paid summer internships at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California.<br />
<br />
Eligible students for this outstanding, competitive internship opportunity should demonstrate an interest in:<br />
<br />
* pursuing a professional career in nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear safeguards;<br />
* acquiring practical experience on nuclear nonproliferation, safeguards and security policy issues as they are addressed at US national laboratories;<br />
* contributing to the capability of the national laboratories to perform and complete tasks and analyses related to nuclear safeguards.<br />
