Egle Murauskaite, Research Associate, Washington, DC

Egle Murauskaite is a Research Associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Washington DC Office.

Activities

Since joining the CNS in June 2012, she has focused on nuclear proliferation issues in North Korea, Iran, Syria and Pakistan, researching sensitive technology sharing among these states, and other export control-related questions.

Egle has been invited as a panelist to a number of international conferences, speaking about Pakistan's proliferation issues in the post-A.Q. Khan era. She has also been involved in the production of a volume on the lessons learned from the Helsinki process for the Middle East.

Background

Prieviously, Egle has been working with Ambassador Nabil Fahmy as a research assistant at the American University in Cairo. Over 2009-2010, she was a senior analyst at Euromonitor International.

Education

Egle has graduated Summa Cum Laude from Master's program in International Security Studies at Sciences Po Paris, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
