The 2012 edition of the NPT Briefing Book is now available for download on the website of King's College London: http://www.kcl.ac.uk/sspp/departments/warstudies/ research/groups/csss/nucnonprolif.aspx

The Briefing Book is the most comprehensive source of background and reference material on the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and its associated regime. It is regularly used by numerous delegations at NPT meetings as a key resource and reference. This edition has been updated and revised for the 2012 NPT Preparatory Committee meeting in Vienna, Austria. The Briefing Book is produced by the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) and King's College London's Centre for Science and Security Studies (CSSS).

The Briefing Book is separated into two sections. The first offers a comprehensive background of the NPT review process from its inception in 1975 and its evolution to the present. The second section contains the texts of relevant treaties, agreements, NPT review process documentation, and UN and IAEA reports.

Past editions of the Briefing Book can also be found on the King's College London website. For more on the NPT, please see the CNS NPT Resources page.
