BASIC FACTS
The United Republic of Tanzania is located in the African Great Lakes region, bordered by Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Tanzania is a unitary presidential democratic republic that gained its independence in 1964.
Capital: Dar es Salaam
There are no nuclear power plants or research reactor facilities in Tanzania.
