BASIC FACTS

The Togolese Republic is a West African country bordered by Ghana, Benin, and Burkina Faso. Togo is particularly active in West African regional affairs, the African Union, and has positive relationships with its surrounding neighbors. Togo is a presidential republic that gained its independence in 1960.

There are no nuclear power plants or research reactors in Togo.
