BASIC FACTS
The Republic of Yemen is located on the southeast end of the Arabian Peninsula, bordered by Saudi Arabia and Oman. Yemen gained independence in 1967. Since 2014, a civil war throughout the country has led to the UN declaring it the country with the most people in need of humanitarian aid.
Capital: Sana'a
There are no nuclear power plants or research reactors in Yemen.
