BASIC FACTS

The Republic of Paraguay is a South American country bordered by Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia.  Paraguay gained independence in 1811 and was officially recognized by the UN in 1945. Today it is a representative democratic republic.

Capital: Asunción

There are no nuclear power plants or research reactors in Paraguay.
