BASIC FACTS

The Republic of Cote d’Ivoire is located on the western coast of Africa and is bound by Liberia and Guinea to the west, Mali and Burkina Faso to the north, and Ghana to the east. Cote d’Ivoire is a presidential republic that gained its independence in 1960.

Capital: Yamoussoukro

Cote d’Ivoire does not possess any nuclear power plants, research reactors, or other nuclear facilities.
