BASIC FACTS

The Republic of Equatorial Guinea is bordered by Gabon and Cameroon and is located on Africa’s Gulf Coast. As the largest sub-Saharan oil producer, Equatorial Guinea is one of the richest per capita countries in Africa. Equatorial Guinea is a unitary republic that gained its independence in 1968.

Capital: Malabo

There are no nuclear power plants or research reactors in Equatorial Guinea.
