BASIC FACTS
The Gabonese Republic is located on the west coast of Central Africa, bordered by Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, and the Gulf of Guinea. Gabon today has one of the highest development rates in Africa due to its rich petroleum resources. Gabon is a presidential republic that gained its independence in 1960.
Capital: Libreville
There are no nuclear power plants or research reactors in Gabon.
