BASIC FACTS
The Republic of Guinea is located in West Africa and bordered by Guinea-Bissau to the northwest, Senegal to the north, Mali to the east, Cote d’Ivoire to the southeast, Sierra Leone and Liberia to the south. Guinea is a presidential representative democratic republic that gained its independence in 1958.
Capital: Conakry
Guinea does not possess any nuclear power plants, research reactors, or other nuclear facilities.
