BASIC FACTS

Mongolia is a Member Country of the NAM Movement since 1992. 

Mongolia is a landlocked country located in East Asia that borders China and Russia. Mongolia is a semi-presidential representative democratic republic that gained its independence in 1921.

Capital: Ulaanbaatar

Mongolia does not possess any nuclear power plants, research reactors, or other nuclear facilities. However, the country has a significant amount of uranium resources. As of 2023, Mongolian company Dayan Deerkh Energy Ltd is exploring the possibility of nuclear energy via an agreement with ROSATOM
